Realizing the importance of primary education, the present government is working relentlessly to ensure equitable and standard primary education. Teacher: Students and Students: In order to reduce the ratio of classrooms, 469 teachers have been appointed in this district including the status of new teachers. To ensure 100 percent admission, pre-primary education has been started in the government primary schools. In the light of the real demand, in each government primary school, a total of 258 posts of 'Kam Prachari' posts have been created. In order to create a favorable environment for education at the school level, 85 washbasks have been constructed, including 403 tube wells. In order to ensure compulsory primary education, all the 457706 free books have been distributed among all students in the year 2018. Besides, stipend has been given to 63,287 students under the help of poor family's education assistance program to achieve primary education including dropout prevention. Student council has been formed in 371 primary schools. The activities of each child (ECL) are being implemented in 20 primary schools. School wise development plan (SLIP) is being allocated for schools up to 40 thousand rupees annually in the 371 primary schools of decentralization of school based development plans. Since early 2009, the primary and ibaidaidi education terminations are being conducted regularly. Since 2012 Bangabandhu Goldkap Primary School Football Tournament and Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament is being managed. At the same time inter-primary sports and cultural competition is being held regularly with participation of all primary school students in the district.
